Description

Sugar is a young, slightly underweight Emolga with fairly faint burn scars across the front of his wings, as well as some stitch scars from previous accidents. His most notable feature are the nodes inserted into his electrical sockets, which stabilize his electrical discharges and stores them in a carried in a brown satchel. The satchel has a pendent sewn into it bearing a symbol of safety, courtesy of Hastur.

Notable Abilities

Sugar's condition leaves him unable to intentionally generate electricity, or stop generating electricity for that matter. Should his satchel be removed, the voltage with accumulate over time until his cheeks begin to discharge of their own accord. The buildup can take anywhere from thirty minutes to a couple hours, with the resulting shocks increasing with power over time. Worse, the excessive voltage hurts not only those around him, but also Sugar himself. Wearing the capacitor also makes him too heavy to fly, and so the flying electric type is permanently grounded in both senses of the word.

To date, Sugar has not exhibited any other abilities or combat moves more complicated than a backhanded slap.

Biography

Even as a hatchling he had issues with random electrical discharges, and as a result his siblings avoided him. His flying skills were also mediocre, and when combined with the discharges he began to fall further and further behind. One day, he woke up late to find his family had left him behind entirely.

His subsequent years were spent as a stray wondering the various human cities in Johto; hitchhiking on busses and riding from town to town out of a sense of wanderlust and lack of anything better to do. With each passing day his uncontrolled discharges increased in size and rapidity, and soon he began to experience headaches, cramps, and electrical burns along the bottoms of his feat. And still it Escalated.

One day, the beleaguered Emolga lost his balance while riding the top of a bus, and ended up stumbling delerious into a dingy petrol station on the side of the road. Unable to think straight, he curled up atop some old rags in the shelter of a Propane tank. He can't remember what happened next, only waking up a couple hours later hanging from the mouth of a strange Linoone, being deposited in the dirt beneath the shadow of a human covered in burns.

Personality

Even before joining a team, Sugar had a passing familiarity with Human culture. One of his favorite places to scout were arcades where children tended to frequent and thus no shortage of discarded food could be pilfered. As he gorged on sweets, Sugar would watch the flashy lights and yelling children plying their skills on the old game cabinets, and over time came to understand many of the games' rules and challenges. He would even come to try playing the games, where he could scavenge enough poke.

Sugar enjoys a games, but enjoys winning them even more. His outlook on life can be quite childish, and often the desire to 'win' everything from games to arguments gets him in trouble. Combined Truffles' abrasive attitude, and the team has been forced to break up more than a few completely unnecessary arguments between the generations.

Lastly, Sugar has a very cavalier attitude towards his disabilities. For him, the loss of flight and electrical attacks was well-worth getting rid of the headaches, cramps, and general malaise that plagued him for years. In fact, he can barely remember, let alone care about what was lost.

All that said, he's the runt of a litter, a flying/electric type who cannot fly nor discharge electricity at will, and the single largest drain on his teams resources, and he's aware of all of this. Sometimes, he wonders if he's truly worth all the trouble others put into him.

Relationships

Sugar enjoys the casual company of Pepper, Hastur, and Mary as a surrogate mother, but has no love for Truffles. He harbors a crush for Cinnamon, and has gone out of his way to better his friend's life wherever possible. But he remains afraid to try and push their relationship further, especially in light of his admission of being straight.

At the Café, Sugar has found kinship in Neon, the two bonding in the evening over their mutual love of video games.

Sexuality

Alongside Cinnamon, Sugar is still discovering his sexuality, his limits and his tastes. Very much gay, and very very into ball worship. But he is very into oral, and is also very curious. He is currently making a list of kinks he wishes to try in the future.
