Origins
Much of Amaretto's past is largely unknown, as she often prefers to focus more on her customers and those around her. What is known is that she was born in Japan sometime before the Liberation, before being raised in the politically progressive United States under the name Amy, where she eventually developed a passion for dance and contest battling. Spending some time working in a bar to pay for schooling also helped to build her skills as a bartender. Beyond this, however, there is very little she is ever comfortable sharing. All anyone knows is that a traumatic experience left her with a firm view of just how delicate and fragile any one life can be...
At some point in recent years, Amaretto took a job at Cafe Plaisir. However, it remains a mystery as to who reached out first.
