Nearby Town

The Nearby Town is the Oklahoman small town that Café Plaisir sits just outside. A shuttle bus provided by Plaisir runs multiple times daily between the Café building and a bus stop in the middle of town.

Ordinarily, this town goes unnamed in order to prevent any confusion with real-world venues and locations, but it was based originally on a real town about 50 miles' travel east of the city of Tulsa. For most purposes, it suffices to place the Nearby Town in northeastern Oklahoma.

Atlas Apartments

Atlas Apartments is a three-story apartment complex in the middle of town nearby the shuttle stop. The complex is owned by Jack, who purchased the building and renovated it to be accessible for different sizes and shapes of Pokémon.

Each floor of the building is geared towards different sizes of tenants. The bottom floor has housing for small Pokémon, with rooms lined with shelf-like extra floorspace at half-height. The middle floor has housing for medium Pokémon, with rooms essentially the same as any regular apartment, except with door pedals and multiple-height light switches (standard for any Pokémon-accessible building). The top floor has housing for large Pokémon, with double doors and higher ceilings. There is an elevator near the middle of the central corridor, but the main stairwell of the apartment is filled with high-traction ramps rather than steps, enabling Pokémon to travel between floors even if they don't have conventional legs.

Additionally, the building is a central section with a lobby and office on the ground floor, a large common room on the middle floor, and an outdoor terrace on the top floor. Jack does not live in the apartment, since he already has a bedroom at Café Plaisir, but there is a separate live-in manager.
