So here they were at last, thought Firenze, smiling as he saw their destination up ahead. Stood on an embankment as if risen out of the swamps themselves, built with four distinct corners and protected by a security wall, the Fantasy Fort looked indeed not unlike a the literal fortress it could metaphorically be, he couldn't help but think, like another bastion of burgeoning Pokemon civilisation-through-sexuality, another akin to Café Plaisir itself. At least, so Firenze hoped.
Meanwhile...
Time seemed to slow down. October's flamethrower gave their airborne air-boat just enough impulse to avoid the blossoming fireball as it erupted from a single point into a blazing, billowing cloud of fury, but it didn't quite stop them from passing by that glorious and erupting spherical shockwave of destruction so closely that they appeared to be advancing out from under the blast's incandescent glare as if they were being born of explosion, incidentally looking fucking awesome along the way!
...And here it is at last, the first half of the latest story in the Café Plaisir - Road Trip series, as sponsored by the great and wonderful Dark_Violet Dark_Violet
After touring up to and down the East coast of the United States of America, the Café Plaisir Road Trip crew has come to one of the sunniest and yet dampest corners of the North American continent; the place colloquially known as the Sunshine State!
Firenze leads the crew to the next important visit of their tour and the most exotic location yet. An exciting land of fantasy and fetish to apparently put Plaisir to shame. How will the Plaisir crew adapt to the Fantasy Fort..?
In a place known for sunshine, smiles and tourism, however will October manage to find action and adventure? The answer may surprise, excite... and horrify!
This story is the longest yet in the series. After efforts in previous parts to cut down on wordcount lead to unsatisfactory results, I've abandoned all efforts at compression and resumed my attitude that a story should be as long as it needs to be for main series posts like this. So! That means two things; first that this story is getting broken into two parts and secondly, Big Apple might later be getting re-written and expanded. Time will tell!
