"...There we go," said Firenze, as if he hadn’t watched October literally battle his own tails to get through the door. Somehow managing to keep the amusement showing in his eyes from his voice as he continued to speak softly and encouragingly, "Now why don't you come on up here..?"
A little piece for the ongoing Road Trip series that better fit on its own as a short than as part of any chapter... Something I had actually planned to do more of! Hopefully more of which will yet also be seen!
It's been about two weeks on the road since leaving Cafe Plaisir to begin the grand tour of American for our gang of representatives. There are two Ninetales on this trip; One known for his scruffy demeanour and outrageous behaviour as a Floor Waiter at the very bottom of the Plaisir hierarchy, the other for being the very picture of a pristine, proper Ninetales pridefully pursuing pleasure for all as the General Supervisor of Plaisir.
One of these Ninetales is only held in check by the other, who he holds in high regard above all others. Yet that other has so many other responsibilities and matters ever requiring his attention.
Yet when pleasure is your primary purpose, goal and business, it can sometimes pay to indulge every now and then in a little... mutual... reward.
