It wasn't until after a few seconds of staring at the prone Mightyena's ass that October noticed the single eye staring at him over a tilted smirk. There was a sharp intensity in that eye, a mighty hunger inextricably linked with the raw power of that beautiful form... coupled with a comprehension... and intention. "Come to bed," she said.
The tale of the return.
This may or may not be the final short story of the Café Plaisir Road Trip. There are a couple of story prompts remaining which pending inspiration or commission may yet occur, but in all likelihood, this is it. This is the last quiet note we end on. Not with the bang (or the rapid series of such which ended the last major chapter) but with a whimper. A bittersweet, but happy whimper.
For though we're all back home and ready for things to return to normal...
...can they ever really be the same?
For now, we'll just have to wonder, won't we?
