Usually boisterous, chatting, playing, bickering even, the usual eight lively Pokemon, plus two newcomers, were uncannily quiet. It was the wake of recent events, the weight of all that had occurred, hanging above them even as those forlorn, silhouetted ramparts disappeared far behind them.
Then, Firenze turned a corner and the RV surged ahead with an almost triumphant screech as the lightness of the cabin seemed to grow with the view outside. The horizon expanded right before them, becoming huge and bright and blue and glorious...
Quippie surged for the door, "LET'S DO THIS, MIAMI BEACH, WOOO!"
The Sunshine State took a toll that no-one was expecting and an epic adventure was forced upon the usually peaceable crew of the RV. Plaisir. Thrills, spills, dangers and revelations. Those who are trained in the service of pleasure and peaceful prosperity have certainly been through the ringer, it's true... and we along with them!
It's time for a pleasant break.
Rest, recuperation... sun, surf and sea!
Wearied by the trouble and strife found in the Fantasy Fort, will these ten Pokemon be able to find themselves again on the Beach of the Magic City? I'm sure you'll have a lot of fun finding out. ^.^
With apologies for those awaiting PMD:A or commissions, I put everything on hold, writing-wise, throughout November in order to get this chapter out as quickly as possible. We needed it, I needed it, the Pokemon of the RV. Plaisir needed it. The Fantasy Fort was a gruelling ordeal for us all and it was time to regroup and recharge.
There's going to be plenty to entertain throughout the festive season and new year, do not worry, but for now, with my utmost pleasure, I give you; Life's a Beach. ^.^
