Guest Bedrooms

The Guest Bedrooms are where the majority of Café Plaisir's revenue is made. Each of the three floors of the bedroom block contains a different array of bedrooms, with those on higher floors being generally higher quality and price. These rooms function essentially like any hotel room, with beds, bathrooms, and essential amenities for a pleasant and undisturbed stay.

Description

The bedroom block follows a similar plan on each floor, with a large square hallway ringed by rooms on its outside and inside. The very interior of the square is empty, leaving space for the Inside Garden and providing natural light for the inward-facing rooms.

Ground Floor

The ground floor bedrooms are divided into two separate groups: standard bedrooms on the inner ring of the hallway, and the Type Bedrooms on the outer ring. A standard bedroom contains a canopied double bed, an end table or desk, dresser drawer storage, decorative rugs, and couches and chairs as possible. Each room is also connected to its own bathroom with a bath shower combo. Each room also has a window with a view of the Inside Garden, with the exception of the rooms on the southwest and southeast corners of the ring, which are windowless.

On the outer ring, there are also four bedrooms with no typing, two each on the northwest and southeast corners. These bedrooms have extra-wide beds and more accommodating furniture for multiple guests, essentially a smaller, budget version of the group bedrooms on the top floor.

The standard color scheme is dark wood flooring, wood panel and white paper walls (except the wall facing the Inside Garden, which is bare red brick), green bedding and rugs, brown furniture padding, and white tile in the bathrooms. The outside corridors have green carpeting and are dotted with decorative clay urns here and there along the walls.

Middle Floor

Much of the middle floor is occupied not by bedrooms, but by the Spa and the Middle Floor Lounge. Nevertheless, the south and east sides of the outer ring do contain additional guest bedrooms. These rooms are the same size as the standard rooms on the ground floor, but contain higher-quality furniture and additional decoration.

The standard color scheme is light birch wood flooring, lime green bedding and furniture padding, and ornate green rugs. The walls are decorated with multiple paintings in each room. The outside corridors have the same ornate green carpeting as the bedrooms.

Top Floor

The outer ring of the top floor contains the most lavish and opulent guest rooms in the bedroom block. The east and west sides contain the L-shaped group bedrooms, each of which has multiple large canopied beds, plus all the amenities from lower floors, except for couches and chairs (which have been replaced with even more beds). These rooms also contain large wall mirrors, bookshelves, and floor-to-ceiling windows to the outside.

The north and south sides contain the Penthouse Suites. The north rooms are the largest guest bedrooms in the entire Café (and the largest bedrooms period, with the possible exception of Jack's room). The south rooms, meanwhile, open out to balconies overlooking the heavy tree cover on the parking lot. There is also a single hallway leading out to a public balcony in between the middle two south rooms.

The northwest and southeast corners contain the Party Rooms, deluxe suites designed for large groups of guests. These rooms feature multiple extra-large beds, couches and comfy chairs, and colorful decor. The northwest party room (pictured) has a hot pink and red color palette, while the southeast party room has cooler colors.

The standard color scheme for the group bedrooms is dark oak panel flooring, with sky blue carpets and bedding. The penthouse rooms are individually decorated, with no single color scheme. The hallway outside matches the sky blue color scheme, and four more decorative urns make an appearance, one at each inner corner.

There are no indoor rooms on the inner ring of the top floor. Instead, there are doorways at all four corners that lead to large outdoor terraces, with wooden picnic tables, freestanding benches and assorted outdoor seating. Each of the terraces is separated by a span of gently sloping rooftop. On these terraces, the Inside Garden is visible from high above, as are the windows and structures of the middle floor.
