TM was once a talented surgeon, working in the critical care ward of the Massachusetts General Hospital. In-house political squabbling was costing the lives of his patients, and after failing to save a patient he had bonded with, the Zoroark couldn't take it any longer. He murdered the hospital's chairman and then started hunting down all those who behaved like him, people who put their own wealth and power above people's lives. He made a show of killing his targets, exsanguinating them and then stitching them back up, trying to show the public that these butchers were happy to bleed their patients dry while providing only the ''appearance'' of care. The media, however, misinterpreted this statement because the stitch-work made the corpses look like dolls, and they gave him the title ''"Toymaker."''

Disillusioned with the corruption he found wherever he went, TM racked up an impressive body count, while using both his illusions and his medical knowledge to prevent himself from getting caught. His anger couldn't be sated, and he eventually found himself going after small-time [[Dark Strays]] just because they were in the neighborhood. A chance encounter with [[Bae]], however, changed his life for the better. Bae listened to his story and wasn't afraid of him, and didn't even blame him for what he'd done. Instead, Bae suggested he find a healthier outlet for his anger on top of serial killing. Bae introduced him to BDSM, and the Zoroark the nickname 'TM', because, in his own words, "You ain't scary like Toymaker and you ain't stuffy like Tiberius Masters.
