The '''Picnic Area''' is a rooftop terrace on the north-center portion of the Café building, between the taller bedroom block and the sprawling function block. The area is accessible from a small junction just northeast of the [[Waiter's Lounge]], which is also connected by stairway to the corridor running east from the [[Main Bar]].

==Description==

The Picnic Area is filled mainly by a wide, flat wooden terrace with bench seating along its edges and picnic tables scattered down the middle. A paved stone path running east connects this terrace to the doors into the Café building. A raised flowerbed surrounds the west, south and east sides of the area, with a tall wooden fence obscuring the view past the flowers. A railing runs along the north, just overlooking the covered walkway between the bedroom and function blocks. Past that, the terrace offers a commanding, raised view of [[The Gardens]]. Outdoor lamps perch at regular intervals on the stone retaining walls on the fronts of the flowerbeds.

===Vegetable Garden===

The southernmost strip of the picnic area is an outdoor vegetable garden, where edible plants are grown on premises. The fencing surrounding the flowerbeds blocks the view of this garden from the terrace. A row of windows on the north wall of the [[Waiter's Lounge]] looks out onto this area.
