Through the main bar, Vermont was moving quickly, as quickly as he dared, the slight and smallish grey Glameow keeping his head low, hoping to make himself invisible, lose himself in the crowd. It was getting quite busy, after all, he should be fine... The deep growling voice delivered the line with deliberate, painful slowness, "Heeeere, kitty, kitty... kitty..."

So here it is... the first of the three final chapters of October's Jaunt. I hope you're all ready for what's coming...

Things have taken a turn for the worse. Anger, fear, hatred and resent... some of the darker emotions have the field on this day. Friendships formed over the last month at Plaisir are threatened onto breaking point and those who are truly dark? They thrive, whilst the fires of friendship gutter.

The night, ladies and gentlemen. The night of October's Jaunt is here... and from here, the darkness can only deepen.

I've been sitting on these last three chapters for a while, it's true, but they've benefited from the extra time to proof and correct. Now that the first of the last three is posted, I plan to post the rest with some spacing to give readers time to read... and await.

I fear it's going to get intense, as the October's Jaunt series never has before. Yet things have never been so serious, as they are in things to come...

Stay with me, brave souls... let's see this adventure through.
